GitBlixt Mobile Privacy Policy
Effective November 3, 2026
GitBlixt Mobile (the "app") is published by Shibby Ventures LLC. It is a client for GitBlixt, an open-source git forge that you or your organization host yourselves. This policy explains what the app does with your information.
1. We don't collect your data
Shibby Ventures does not collect, store, or have access to any information from the app. The app has no advertising, analytics, third-party trackers, or crash reporting, and you don't create an account with us.
2. What the app sends to your server
The app talks only to the GitBlixt servers you sign in to. To work, it sends those servers:
- your sign-in details, and the session the server issues in return;
- the content you view, create, or change, such as repositories, issues, merge requests, comments, and settings;
- if you turn on notifications, a push notification token, your device's model and platform, and the app version.
That data is controlled by whoever runs the server, under their own privacy policy. Shibby Ventures has no access to it.
3. On your device
Sessions are kept in your device's secure storage (the Keychain on iOS, the Keystore on Android) and are removed when you sign out of an account or delete the app.
4. Push notifications
If you allow notifications, your GitBlixt server delivers them through Apple Push Notification service (iOS) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android). Those services receive your device's push token and the notification's content in order to deliver it. You can turn notifications off in the app or in your device's settings at any time.
5. Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the "Effective" date at the top.
